Granlund with its Lithuanian partner Mepco, hosted for a second year a seminar and discussion in Vilnius, where about 50 people attended during the RESTA expo on 26 April 2018. The seminar focused on the role of BIM in Facility management with case studies and interaction with the participants.
Tero Järvinen, Granlund´s Technology Director, opened the seminar. He highlighted the use of BIM on Facility management with latest real-life examples from Granlund´s project portfolio. Järvinen gave a hands-on Digital twin demo through presenting Granlund´s ongoing project with a preview how it will function in Granlund Manager. He also demonstrated how to add and follow up service requests using the Virtual Property model, which will be released onto the market during summer 2018
Mindaugas Simkus, the CEO of Mepco, continued with modern systems for reactive and preventive maintenance, giving emphasis to energy management. Simkus concentrated on Granlund Manager and how it is used, who is using it and on the possibilities for saving costs and energy through Granlund Manager.
Rainer Lund, Head of International Sales at Rapal Oy, concluded the seminar with his talk on managing and developing real estates and cost-efficient workplaces through Rapal´s Optimaze solution. Lund spoke about corporate real estate management and showcased how Rapal Oy is helping their customers through their software and service portfolio
“It was a great seminar, there is a real interest for our products in the Lithuanian market,” summarized Otto Åkerberg, Regional Manager of Scandinavia and Baltics of Granlund. “It was nice to see a lot of new and old faces and to hear that we are doing the right things. Lithuania is an interesting market and Simkus and Mepco are doing a great work.”
