Taltec Oy acquired by Granlund Group

Granlund is becoming stronger in the renovation sector.

On 3 January 2017, Granlund Oy acquired the share capital of Taltec Oy, a company operating in Greater Helsinki. As it focuses on HVAC, plumbing and building automation systems, Taltec will strengthen Granlund’s expertise – especially in the building renovation sector.

Taltec Oy, which was established in 1997, employs about 20 experts. The company will be merged into Granlund Oy by summer 2017, and its employees will be transferred to Granlund through the merger. Until the merger, Taltec Oy will continue to operate as a subsidiary of Granlund Oy. Tapani Muttonen, Taltec’s current CEO, will become the head of Granlund’s new renovation division on 1 January 2017. After the merger, the renovation division will employ about 50 experts.

”Taltec Oy is well known in the renovation sector and complements Granlund’s expertise well. Renovations are becoming more common all the time. As a leading supplier of building services, we also want to offer more comprehensive services to this sector,” says Pekka Metsi, Granlund’s CEO.

Granlund provides us with a better platform to develop our operations. Our working cultures are very much alike, which made the approach easier. In the future, we will be able to combine agile services with more extensive expertise and larger development resources,” says Taltec’s CEO, Tapani Muttonen.

Established in 1997, Taltec Oy is a company specialising in construction services and building services design. It employs about 20 building services and project management experts. The company’s strength is its agile and efficient organisation, which creates long-term customer and employee relationships.
