Granlund sets up new office in Dubai

The demand for real estate maintenance systems is on a sharp rise.

Granlund’s 20th office is located in Dubai. Setting up a local office enables expanding the sales channel and supporting the customers better. Granlund International mapped opportunities in the area and established partnerships already at the end of 2015.
The demand for real estate maintenance systems is on a sharp rise, which manifests itself in the growing number of enquiries and the emergence of competitors.

– In the Middle East, the cost of energy and labour have increased while the price of oil has gone down. For this reason costs are now being monitored more closely. Furthermore, properties have reached an age in which their service and maintenance has forced a new way of planning. The potential of Granlund Manager is best utilised if we are there on the spot, says Jyrki Pikkarainen who’s in charge of sales in the Middle East.

The office is located on the 16th floor of Austria Business Center in the Jumeirah Lake Towers region neighbouring Dubai Marina. The plan is to have two people working in the office by the end of the year.

– At the moment, the market is extremely ripe for a software like Manager. The most important markets are Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and Oman and Qatar. In 2017 we will scope out more countries in the region, such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan.
