Granlund and Chinese software company Glodon to collaboration

The agreement was made on Clean Day seminar in Beijing

On 25 November 2014, Granlund Oy and Chinese company Glodon signed a collaboration agreement regarding the development of their software business. The aim of the agreement is to speed up the internationalization of the Granlund Manager system in China and simultaneously support Glodon’s activities in the Nordic countries and elsewhere in Europe. The companies are planning to expand their collaboration in the future to cover the Granlund Designer software and joint research and development work.

The agreement was signed as part of Team Finland’s Pure Finland – Clean Day seminar in Beijing, where one of the objectives was to promote cleantech cooperation between Finland and China.

Glodon is the leading Chinese construction software company. It focuses especially on the development of BIM-based quantity and cost calculation software. Glodon has strengthened its position in the European market through Progman Oy, the developer of the MagiCAD software, which became part of the Glodon Group in March.

The construction industry continues to grow strongly in China. Currently 60% of the world’s construction activities take place in China.

“We believe that this is the right time to invest in property maintenance in the Chinese market. The strength of Granlund Manager is its ability to ensure a building’s energy efficiency and the quality of indoor environments,” says Granlund CEO Pekka Metsi.

In addition to Glodon, Granlund’s partner in the Chinese market is Mikko Puhakka from Lion Partners.
